Mount Everest is the
highest mountain in the world. Its elevation of 29,035
feet (8,850 meters) was determined using GPS satellite
equipment on May 5, 1999. It was previously believed to
be slightly lower (29,028 feet /8,848 meters), as
determined in 1954 by averaging measurements from
various sites around the mountain. The new elevation has
been confirmed by the National Geographic Society.
Gokyo lake and Renjo pass trek offers a gradual ascent
up the valley passing through patches of birch and
rhododendron forest. The trail passes the small
yak-grazing settlements to reach the Gokyo lakes. The
Gokyo Peak (5480m) ascent can be taken as the one of the
highlights of the trek. There we have good time to savor
the incredible scenery. From there we can observe the
magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Makalu, Cho Oyo
(8153m) and Lhotse (8511m) and many more.
Gokyo and Renjo pass trekking route is off the usual
beaten track. At that place, we are rewarded with a fine
view of the Gokyo lakes on one side, the Rermo Pokhari
(lakes) on the other side, and a myriad of snowy peaks
in the background offering the incredible atmosphere.
The alternative route begins from Gokyo is much easier.
From there, the trail makes descend along the opposite
bank of the Dudh Kosi.

Trekking Itinerary.
Day 01- Your
arrival to International Airport in Kathmandu (1345m.),
you will be met by our Airport Representative there, and
transfer to hotel by car. O/N at hotel B.B.
Day 02- Full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu
valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and
Kathmandu durbar square). O/N at hotel B.B.L.
Day 03- Today early in the morning, we drive about 15
minutes to the Airport. After 35 minutes scenic flight
to Lukla (2840m.), we begin our trek to Phakding
(2646m.) 3 hours easy walking.
Day 04- Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3442m.) 5 hours.
Day 05- Acclimatization and excursion day in Namche
Bazaar.
Day 06-
Namche Bazaar to Phorste Tengka (3675m). 5 hours
Day 07- Phorste Tengka to Machherma (4470m.) 5 hours
Day 08- Machherma to Gokyo (4790m.) 5 hours
Day 09- Hiking to Gokyo Ri (5483m.) Today very early in
the morning, we begin steep climb up to the top of Gokyo
Ri (5483m), provides us ample rewards as one attempts
this trip.
Day 10- Gokyo to Renjo Pass (5345m) and trek to Rermo
Pokhari (4875m). 6.30 hours.
Day 11- Rermo Pokhari to Thame (3800m) 5 hours
Day 12- Thame to Namche Bazaar (3442m.) 4.30 hours
Day 13- Namche Bazaar to Lukla(2840m.) 6 hours
Day 14- Early morning flight to Kathmandu (1345m.)
Day 15- Leisure day in Kathmandu (it can be also spare
day incase of bad weather in Lukla if not you can have
free day for look around and shopping.)
Day 16- Transfer to international airport for your home
departure.
