Kathmandu valley (Central Nepal) offers the most praised modes of adventure holiday trips. Cultural tours of this valley and temples are certainly the most compact concise adventure program found anywhere in the world. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal well known to the world as the city of Living Goddess ( Kumari) who is worshipped and taken in a chariot procession annually.

» Nagarkot:
This is a lovely hilly station lying at an elevation of 7,309 feet above the sea level and is not more than 32 kilometers direct east of Kathmandu city. It is a year round holiday resort rich in chlorophyll forestations. As an evergreen area, the pines appear spectacularly beautiful. The panorama of the major peaks belonging to the eastern Himalayas including Mt. Sagarmatha (Everest) can be viewed from here if weather permits. The resort stands best at sunrise plus sunset. Himalayan peaks such as Manaslu (8156m), Ganesh Himal (7111m), Langtang (7246m), Choba Bhamre (6016m), Gaurishankar (7134m) and Numbur (6957m) are also clearly seen from Nagarkot.

Dhulikhel: -
This is an ancient hill town which is known as ‘Dhoukhyo’ to the indigenous Newars. It is situated 30 kilometers east of Kathmandu city on the side of the Arniko Highway leading to the Tibetan border. From here one can own a complete panoramic view of the snowy flanks ranging from east to west

Panauti: -
Standing in a peaceful valley roughly 6 kilometers south of Banepa, the small beautiful town of Panauti is at a junction of the rivers Roshi and Pungmati. Similar to that of Allahabad in India, a third ‘invisible’ river is declared to join the other two at the confluence point. This town is relatively untouched but where festivals preserving the precious tradition of the indigenous Newars are held. It possesses a number of interesting temples, one of which perhaps the oldest in Nepal. Besides, it is famous for magnificent wood carvings. Panouti once stood at the junction of important trading routes and had a royal palace in its principal square.

Namo Buddha:-
Situated on a hill just above Panouti valley is an authentic Buddhist shrine which the indigenous Newars call ‘Namra Bhagawan.’ The name of the religious hamlet itself is all Bhagwan Namra. It requires an easy cruise by automobile or a good trek to get here. Lord Buddha is auspiciously commemorated here by an ancient stone slab and a Stupa (Chaitya to the Nepalese Bhddhists and Chhorten to the Tibetan Buddhists) with the angular eyes of the Enlightened one. The pious forestation is believed to be the exact location where late King Mahastawa (one of the past Buddha incarnations) sacrificed his own flesh for the sake of a dying tigress and her hungry cubs. The Stupa is highly worshipped by Nepalese Buddhists and Tibetan Buddhists. This serene wood proves to be an ideal spot for sentimental meditation

Chobhar:-
En route to Dakshinkali, situated 9km south-west of Kathmandu, this place is famous for its gorge, said to have been cut by god Manjushri to drain the water from the Kathmandu Valley which was at that time a lake. There is a small but picturesque temple of Adinath on the top of a hill. From this point one has a superb view of snow-clad mountain peaks

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcome by our representative. Transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon: Half-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu also called the "City of Glory". Visit includes, Durbar Square, Kasthamandap - said to be constructed from a single piece wood. Kumari Ghar - Home to the World's only living Goddess. Once a year, during Indra Jatra festival, the King of Nepal seeks the Kumari's blessing. A short visit to Bhairab - the God of destruction, Taleju Temple - built in 1549 AD and Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Thereafter visit Swoyambunath Stupa, said to be one of the oldest Buddhist Stupas in the World, which is majestically set high on a Hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley. It is nicknamed as the monkey temple after the tribe of monkeys that look after the hill and often amuses the visitors. Overnight at Hotel Annapurna

Day 2: Patan & Kathmandu Sightseeing.
Breakfast at the hotel AM: Half-day sightseeing tour of Patan, the "City of Fine Arts". Visit Durbar Square, Krishna Temple, built in 1637 AD, which holds a commanding position in the palace complex of Patan, it is the only temple in Nepal that has 21 spires and is entirely made of stone, Hiranyavarna Mahavira - the Golden Temple of Lord Buddha and the Tibetan Handcrafts Center. PM: Half-day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.This massive temple complex sits alongside the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the courtyard of the temple, whereas tourists can see the temple from the eastern side of the Bagmati River. Afterwards, visit Boudhanath, a Buddhist Stupa said to be one of the largest in the world. This massive structure stands tall with four pairs of eyes each facing the four cardinal directions, watching for righteous behaviour of mankind and for human prosperity. Overnight at Hotel Annapurna.

Day 3: Kathmandu - Nagarkot.
Half-day sightseeing tour of Changunarayan Temple, which is located at the end of the long ridge which runs well into the valley and said to be built by King Han Dutta Verma in 323 AD. It is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings and said to be the oldest temple in the valley. It is situated at about 153m above the level of Kathmandu Valley and commands a panoramic view of surrounding countryside. Afterwards, commence a gentle hike up to Telkot (approx. 2½ hrs) and pick up at Telkot and again transfer to Nagarkot, a lovely hillside town with glorious views of the Himalayas. The drive takes you through beautiful landscaped, villages and terraced rice fields. Overnight at Hotel Club Himalaya.

Day 4: Nagarkot to Dhulikhel -
Walking. Breakfast at the hotel Walk from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel (approx. 6 hrs) via Nala, the interesting small town, 4km northwest of Banepa. Nalas Bhagwaati Temple dominates the central square of the town and is one of the very few four tiered temples in the Kathmandu valley. On the edge of the settlement is the Bhuddhist pagoda temple of Karunamaya, dedicated to Avalokiteshvara. Overnight at Dhulikhel Mountain Resort.

Day 5: Dhulikhel to Kathamndu-
Excursion trip. Breakfast at the hotel From here it is approx. 45 minutes walk upto Devistan, a small temple and excellent spot from where to view the Himalaya. After a short descent, a gradual climb of about ninety minutes brings you to Phulbari where the panoramic mountain views are excellent. Then it's a ten minutes walk to the legendary Namobuddha Stupa, a popular legend relates that the Lord Buddha in his previous incarnation had offered his own flesh to save a starving tigress and her cubs from the imminent death.After exploring the area a walk of about 2½ hrs hours takes you down to the charming medieval village of Panauti, a treasure house of ancient Newari architecture. From Panauti your vehicle will transfer you back to Kathmandu en route visit the medieval city of Bhaktapur, also called the "City of Devotees" where you will meander down narrow lanes past centuries old homes and temples. The tour will begin with a visit to Durbar Square, The Golden Gate, Places of 55 Windows, Lion's Gate. The Nyatpola Temple, the tallest of its kind in Nepal, Bhairab Temple, the Pottery Center and Dattratraya Temple. Overnight at Hotel Annapurna.

Day 6: Kathmandu - Dakshinkali.
Site excursion. Breakfast at the hotel Drive to Dakshinkali, a shrine dedicated to the terrifying goddess kali. Every Tuesday and Saturday thousands of people descends on the shrine to make offerings to the goddess. Though many people bring offerings of fruit, rice and flowers, Dakshinkali is better known as a place of animal sacrifices, primarily of goats and chickens. Thereafter, you will visit the self-emanating Tara in Pharping, which miraculously grows out of the rock face.Located at this site is the Gorakhnath cave that Buddhists believe a handprint and footprint in the cave were left by Padmasambava (monk who brought Buddhism to Tibet), though Hindus say it is the imprints of Goraknath, a famous Hindu believer. Just above the village stands the 17th Century Vajra Jogini Temple. Afterwards, visit the Pharping Monastery and meet one of the most well known Gurus in the Kathmandu Valley, kindly note, this is pending availability of the Guru.

Afterwards, continue walk to Bungamati, a typical village of 16th century situated in the foothills of the southern side of the valley, inhabited by Newari farmers, whose second occupation is wood carving, is still very far away from modern developments. An ideal location to see medieval village structure & lifestyle. Then continue visit the another Newari town of Khokana, which is well known for the production of Mustard oil in traditional style. Overnight at Hotel Annapurna.

Day 7 : Departure.
Breakfast at the hotel Free till departure transfer to international airport for onward flight.
