Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Model Trek was discovered by the initiation of TAAN Pokhara chapter in support of Nepal Tourism Board as an alternative route to the world famous Annapuran region.

According to TAAN, trekkers can go by five to 15-day in this route from kathmandu to Kathmandu and you can do this trip from pokhara however there is an alternative that could be lengthened the trekking up to one month here. Korchon, which is locally known as Korja is the highest point of this route. Nepal Tourism Board, Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and NCCR-PAMS have assisted the TAAN in the exploration, development and promotion of this model trek. This route has adopted the concept that the living standard of people could be uplifted through rural tourism.

Day 05: Trek to Koke (forest camp) (2600 mtr. 7 hours walking).
Day 06: Trek to Ekle Deurali (low camp) (3500 mtr. 6 ½ hours walking).
Day 07: Trek to Bagale deurali (Kew) (3900 mtr. 6 hours walking).
Day 08: Trek to Mardi Himal base camp west (view point) (4450 mtr. 7 hours walking).
Day 09: Trek back to sirkha kharka (3460 mtr. 8 hours walking).
Day 10: Trek to Karchon (3682 mtr. 7 hours walking).
Day 11: Trek to Samsur deurali (2939 mtr. 7 hours walking).
Day 12: Trek to Hile kharka (2160 mtr. 7 hours walking).
Day 13: Trek to Rimdang village (1430 mtr. 7 hours walking).
Day 14: trek to Annate thanti and drive back to Pokhara by local bus 2 hours, over night at Pokhara,
