The historic hill trek to Siklis - one of the oldest
Gurung settlements and the second largest Gurung village in Nepal - still
retains an aura of the ancient. Here, the Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest)
have important roles in this Buddhist community, marriage, death and day-today
lives of villagers. Siklish village lies above the Mardi Khola river(1,981m),
overlooking Annapurna IV to the north and Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal to the

and wildlife. Gurung, Brahmin, and Magar villages. This
beautiful non tourist camping trek is a great
introduction to the beauty of the Annapurna range and to
the Buddhist Gurung culture. Siklish is one of the
largest Gurung villages in Nepal and offers an
opportunity to learn about this unique traditional
culture. A model trekking village, Siklis is a central
part of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).
Siklis trek – enjoy the superb Himalayan views including
Lamjung himal with Nepalese famous national flowers and
unique gurung culture. Siklis trek is a spectacular short
trek and traverses a variety of terrain including in the
spring blooming forests of rhododendron and verities of
birds. Siklish is second largest Gurung village over
looking Annapurna IV, II and Lamjung Himal. In the
evening at Siklis, mothers' unity welcomes you and sings
traditional songs and dance stories from the ancient
