Kali gandaki River, Deepest Gorge in the World

Trisuli River Rafting.

Rafting on the Trisuli River is an excellent opportunity to observe the diversity of demography, landscapes, and cultural heritage and the flora and fauna. You can experience the thrills of white-water on the course of three days trip. This can be degraded as per your interest and time. The Trisuli River is the most easily accessible from Kathmandu, Pokhara and Royal Chitwan National Park by far a trip on this river can be made for a varied duration, depending upon the availability of time and interest. Scenic valleys and impressive gorges, exhilarating rapids and easier sections as well as the right amount of time all make it the perfect trip for first-time or experienced rafters. During the monsoon, Trishuli River promises a more challenging ride, with powerful rapids and whirlpools. When the river is running high and wild, there are hardly any rafters around, and rafting on the Trishuli River is without a doubt the most exciting thing you can do in Nepal during monsoon and quite possibly one of the best two days big water rafting trips offered anywhere. There are numerous exciting rapids as the name of Snail's nose, Teendevi, Malekhu rapid, Monkey rapid, Upset, Surprise, Monsoon, Cotton Pony, Ladies Delight, S-Bend, Highway, Monsoon and Pinball Rapid. This makes your fun more challenging during high flows with a good mixture of continuous rapids and pleasant calm water.

* Medium high flows.
** Due to pre-monsoon storms and snowmelt, expeditions at these times will be high flows.

*** With monsoon season, the river gets wild and very high, so expect more challenging rivers.

Escape from Kathmandu to Borderland Bhote Koshi ~ Every Weekend. !!

During high flow when the upper section is not runnable, we offer the lower section below dam – which is always exciting in high flows.

** The rivers at these times will be in really high flows, expect them to be more challenging.

The Experience

This is a really pleasant, picturesque two day trip which offers an easier and shorter alternative to the upper Kali Gandaki or the Trisuli - no horrendous big rapids but plenty of friendly small ones.Many companies now two-days raft trips on the Seti. It doesn't really need three days, but the 'Jungle Corridor' is so beautiful, with white beaches by a warm blue rive, completely away from roads, villages, and civilization, that it make a great place to lazy or camp. Comment from one-woman rafter was: "this is the place I would like to spend my honeymoon"! The Seti river now sees several trips a week in high season, but there's a wide selection of beaches on which to camp, and you are far away from any road so it retains that precious 'away-from-it-all' feeling.
Several companies now offer kayak clinics on the Seti, where you are accompanied by a raft, as you learn to run the rapids. You normally start with an introductory day on the lake at Pokhara and then, at Damauli to take 3 or 4 days to slowly make your way down the river. Partners who are not interested in trying this deviant activity should note that most companies would welcome you to come along for a relaxed ride on the support raft.Rafting above Damauli is probably not worthwhile in view of the lower volume, narrow steep falls that would need portaging and shallow shingle rapids.

Bhotekoshi River Rafting Itinerary.

Day 1 We start our journey from Kathmandu by private bus towards the tibetan border. We make a short tea stop at Dolalghat and continue on two hours puti in point for a early lonch. Then the guides will brief you on the safety aspects of the trip and its time to see what you are made of! We jump straight into grade 4 rapids like Gerbil in the plumbing and Frog in the Blender. By afternoon you will be wide eyed and exhilarated. To finish the day off we have Carnal Knowledge of a Deviant Nature, a huge rock slalom with a 2 meter drop into a hole and a pool! where your mates sit laughing. We exit and the bus drives us back up stream to our campsite.

Day 2 Wake up to the sound of the roaring river and a choice of a hot or cold breakfast. Today we thrill and spill our way down numerous drops and eddies. bump around boulders, occasionally getting stuck on them. Then we enter a narrow canyon and on to the Midnight Special, a gun barrel of a rapid which slams you up against a wall. Next we have The Great Wall, Liquid Bliss and the long, hard class 4 plus rapid Jhon Holmes.
